The Renegade Jazz Program is an independent Music Performance program for young musicians. The Program, founded in 1996, features three jazz bands and a wind ensemble, and is recognized by Jazz @ Lincoln Center as one of the top programs in the country for Middle and High School students.

Troop #336 has been in existence for 51 years at St. James. Boy Scouts is a program for boys ages 11 through 18 that teaches moral values, leagership, self reliance and outdoor skills.
