MUSIC AT ST. JAMES
Chancel Choir
Under the direction of Jean Stevenson these brave souls provide two anthems and/or solo material for every Sunday 10AM service. They meet for rehearsal Thursdays, 8-9:30pm, from Labor Day through mid-June. In addition, they form the core of the St. James Choraliers, a lively group which gives plays and other entertainments at various times of the year. They also share a fondness for post-rehearsal sweets at The Broadway Beanery on Atlantic Ave. in Lynbrook.

Confirmation Choir
The newest member of the St. James music family meets each Sunday at 6pm. Open to anyone who has completed confirmation in the church, it currently boasts three members who are extending their musical knowledge into the areas of part-singing, preparing for the greater tasks of singing in the Chancel Choir. We have high hopes that, as more youngsters graduate into full membership in the church, they will also join us.
Junior Choir
Under the leadership of Mrs. Barbara Carroll, assisted by Jean Stevenson, this delightful group meets on Sundays after church. It is comprised of those youngsters who have not yet completed Confirmation, although we do hope they have begun to read on their own. The Junior Choir sings in service on the 4th Sunday of every month during the school year, and on special days and for holiday services.
Handbell Choir aka the St. James Ringers
Fun for kids of all ages! This 2-octave ensemble began in 2004 and has supplied music for services in Advent, Lent, and Eastertide, as well as for the Advent Workshop and other events.
